Even if you don’t know much about England, chances are you’ve heard reference of the town where this session was shot. Lavenham is where the song “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” was written and is also famous for it’s crooked houses. I had a great time exploring this quirky little village with Jennifer and Dane; capturing some fun images for their annual Christmas card.

While cloudy grey skies aren’t exactly a photographer’s dream, the dreary weather lent itself perfectly to the very English feel of this session. I had a hard time deciding between color and black and white images as the architecture looked so stunning in both formats!

Ever the entertainer, Dane had us cracking up when he found a stick and did a perfect impersonation of the old nursery rhyme:

There was a crooked man who walked a crooked mile.

He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.

He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse.

And they all lived together in a little crooked house.

I love Dane’s sweater as well. All the details came together just perfectly!

And right before posing for a final shot in front of a very old tea emporium, we spotted another crooked man exiting a shop. Such a fun shoot; thank you again, Jennifer and Dane!
